Volume 23
Teacher Appreciation Week is May 8-12 this year, and it’s my favorite time of year. Although I fundamentally believe that teachers should be appreciated all year long, I love seeing the wave of appreciation from education companies, schools, and parents during the month of May.
Teachers are some of the most knowledgeable, humble, creative, adaptable, and dedicated humans that I’ve been privileged to know. It’s because of all of the incredible teachers I have met throughout my career that I continue to work in this space and help education brands uplift and work alongside as many educators as possible.
Teachers need our support now more than ever and if you haven’t yet found a way to appreciate teachers throughout the year, this month can be your launching point. A simple way you and your brand can acknowledge educators across social media platforms is by using the hashtag #ThankATeacher intentionally. Our team likes to surprise and delight teachers whenever we can. Whether it be uplifting their voice, giving them a compliment, or sending them a small gift or thank you card, we can put a smile on a teacher’s face with just a simple gesture.
A year ago, we launched the LCG Foundation to give money directly to educators around the U.S. in a quick, easy, and fun way. To date, we have granted over half a million dollars to educators, and we are just getting started. During teacher appreciation week, we’ll be announcing another sizable donation (follow us on Twitter to hear the news).
What are you doing to celebrate and appreciate educators during Teacher Appreciation Week and beyond?
Take care,
P.S.: We can do more to support educators by working together. If you’d like to partner with the LCG Foundation to give back to teachers, contact us.
